I believe SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is one of the best tools to succeed in making money online. That’s why I’m joining SEO contests like the Busby SEO Challenge, to push myself to learn SEO and at the same time have chances to win cash prizes and fame.
I am a former Web Developer now a Network Administrator but continuously practicing programming and web development by accepting freelance work. Some people who know me as a good programmer are wondering why I choose Network Administration as my full-time job. I chose it because it is an easy job, no much pressure and not exhausting so I can still do my sidelines and freelance works. Like now, I can blog anytime I want, study SEO and make money online if I have no programming job. And my salary as a Network Administrator is at managerial level that’s why I’m enjoying it. LOL.
My former colleague Eli Tapiador Jr. is the one who inspired me to try SEO and join SEO contests. He is also a Busby SEO Challenge participant.
I started learning SEO at the 2007 Bayanihan SEO contest where I got the second place over-all winner with 20,000 pesos cash during the first checkpoint. Mito Pontillas and his team got the first place over-all winner, he is one of the leading Filipino participants in Busby SEO Challenge.
I won dollars and domains during that time and met the first SEO world champion named Benj Arriola at SEO Philippines forum. He is the Seocontest2008 Second Place winner. I am so proud that my name was mentioned on his blog.
Now that I am so busy decorating my new house, playing with my 1 year old daughter and preparing for another big project, I decided to quit my busby seo challenge and will just help the Filipino participants.
If I am not busy next time, I would still join SEO contests.
